This ceramic vase is so smooth and tactile. It has been partially dipped into white glaze then heated to 950 degrees C. After leaving the raku kiln it is exposed to the air, developing unique and beautiful surface crazing. These are dramatically highlighted when the piece is plunged into sawdust and left to smoulder. The vase is perfect for displaying dried flowers or seedheads.
