Inspiration

This work is inspired by the weathered surfaces found around the East Neuk Harbours. Rusting buildings, boat hulls and sea battered driftwood - all inform these beautifully decayed surfaces. I use a mix of slips, glazes, engobes and oxides to create depth and texture in the surface.

Each piece is unique, like the coastal structures they represent.

Can I commission a piece?

Many clients have asked to have a treasured boat commemorated in clay. Perhaps a mug or vase for a special gift to others or yourself. I can use local postcodes or other numbers to create your design. See some examples below.
